The DBS Downconverter (variable LO) connects directly to a microwave antenna and converts the high-frequency microwave signal to UHF, enabling it to run down standard coaxial cable to the receiver. This allows the antenna to be placed remotely from the receiver.

Typically up to 100m of coaxial cable can be employed allowing the antenna to be outdoor located, or on a mast or tower while the receiver is indoors. If longer separation distances are required, see our fibre products.
