Designed to augment the Sapphire RXD5 receiver when multiple demodulators are licensed. The RXD5 can have up to 4 demodulators but just a single decoder, by adding up to 3 DEC5 Decoders it is possible to receive and decode 4 RF channels in 2U of rack space.

Sapphire DEC5 is ultra compact and can deliver up to 4X HD decoded streams in a 1RU 1/3rd width package, making it a high density decoding solution for other applications as well such as Remote Production, enabling up to 12HD channels per 1U rack space. The unit can also decode a single UHD / 4K feed.
