We are pleased to announce that Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Codan Limited, has acquired 100% shares in Broadcast Wireless Systems (BWS).
Parent company Codan has a strategy of investing and strengthening our core businesses by developing new products, entering new geographies and leveraging our IP into other adjacent markets. This strategy is delivered by Codan investing in its businesses and by acquisitions. The acquisition of BWS delivers on Codan’s strategic growth initiatives. BWS and DTC Broadcast are a natural fit due to the complimentary technologies. DTC offers BWS considerable resources, investment capability and market reach to enable the combined entity to realise full market potential and increase market share.
Existing BWS CEO Mike Budge will lead the new combined Broadcast business unit, reporting into Paul Sangster, Codan’s Divisional President. Max Zaja, Richard Lane, John Simmons, will continue to lead the engineering activity, supported by the current BWS Engineering team. Helen Brown will continue to manage existing BWS key accounts and take on the role of Head of Customer Support and Repairs. Stuart Brown will continue as Head of Broadcast Special Projects/Systems Engineering, focussing on larger systems sales, special ‘one-off’ products and turn-key solutions requiring project management and interfacing with 3rd party products. Codan has committed to further invest in the technology and business front end to enable the market growth. Further, BWS will leverage DTC and Codan’s resources to realise growth.
Existing BWS customers can expect a seamless transition, with sales and support to continue through the existing team members. Being a part of the larger DTC/Codan group, customers can expect to benefit from access to a broader product range, and a greater level of service and support through our global presence.
